Have you ever considered becoming a steward for UNISON?

As well as negotiating directly with the employer and campaigning, a lot of the branch’s work is casework completed for individuals or groups of members by our stewards who represent and support members having trouble at work.

Any member can be a steward and UNISON organises full, accredited training for anyone to become a steward for the branch. There is also a support network of other stewards in the borough and throughout London so you are never on your own!

The graphic below answers some common queries and anxieties around becoming a steward:

UNISON Bexley branch is currently looking for more people to become stewards – the more stewards we have, the more we can help our members and the stronger we are!

We’re arranging a special condensed local course for accreditation, taking place in Bromley on 27+28 October and 3+4 November 2016. If you can make these dates and are interested in finding out more, please get in touch with us as soon as possible!

If you would like to find out more about becoming a steward or the training available, please get in touch with unison@bexley.gov.uk.
